BON APPÉTIT, ILLC!

The school had an exciting and vibrant United Nations Day, with the theme “ILLC: A World Tour of Taste.” The event was filled with excitement as the students
showcased their vibrant costumes from different nations. Greece, USA, Spain, USA-Hawaii, Mexico, France, South Korea, Belgium, United Kingdom, Japan, and India were some of the countries represented during the event. Everyone looked spectacular and ready for the day’s performances, too.

Lots of fun activities and interactive learning transpired but the cooking and selling of the different countries’ food products were probably the highlights of the event. The students, along with their teachers, were very much involved with the preparation and selling of sumptuous traditional meals of the nations present. Families and visitors were encouraged to buy as they used their stamped passports to claim their prizes. The United Nations Day provides an opportunity for the students to learn about diverse cultures, entrepreneurship and hardwork. All the students had a lot of fun and learnt about different UN countries.
