Seizing every opportunity for innovation and leadership, ILLC officially opened its doors virtually in August 2021. Our school’s programs and systems were carefully reimagined to evoke quality learning and joy from its students despite the distance. It was a joy seeing the students and their families fill our virtual classrooms as they actively engaged with their peers in the digital learning activities masterfully prepared by our teachers. An active member of the Department of Education’s Education Forum, our school helped contribute good practices in distance learning for the benefit of our special schools in the country. Through a grant obtained from the Atlantic Institute for Health Equity Southeast Asia and China, ILLC developed digital instructional materials that have been shared for free to public schools in different parts of the country.
